Welcome to Admatha Lodge
Hospital Level Dementia Care
Admatha Lodge is a specialised hospital level dementia care unit which operates in conjunction with Admatha Dementia Rest Home to provide continuity of care to residents as their dementia progresses and their needs change.
Many of our staff work between the two facilities.
Like Admatha Home, the Lodge has garden areas with benches and walkways, enabling the residents to wander safely within the secure grounds. A creek runs beside the home with ducklings in the spring, with majestic trees providing shade and shelter.
The living areas are built to an open plan design, homely yet spacious. There is a piano for songs and entertainment, and a kitchen which fills the home with the aroma of fresh baking.
Our lounges are bright and sunny, often filled with talk, laughter and the warm voices of 
caregivers communicating with and encouraging our residents.
Each of our small homes has its own homely open-plan kitchen, safe for residents yet fully working.
This is where residents assist our DT staff in familiar activities like making sandwiches or baking scones for afternoon tea, or help the caregiving staff wipe down the benchtops or load the diskwasher. The open plan living areas are much like those of an ordinary family home, and the scent of fresh baking often greets visitors on arrival.
