At Aberleigh Rest Home we specialise in two levels of care, our residential rest home and our secure dementia care home.

The exterior of Aberleigh has recently undergone a major transformation, with the creation of a new entranceway and extensive landscaping of the gardens and grounds. The result is a harmonious blend of old and new, with the emphasis on safety, convenience, and natural light. Residents can often be found reading or relaxing in the sun in the comfortable chairs and sofa on either side of the front door, or socialising in the bright and airy new Sun Lounge.

This is the first phase of a longer-term building plan which will ultimately result in all our residents being cared for in the ‘small home’ environments which are central to our philosophy of care.

Among the many special features at Aberleigh are a delightful rose garden, a bird aviary, and a raised garden at a height suitable for residents to take part in gardening activities if they wish, with a comfortable seat where residents can relax and enjoy the flowers on a sunny day.

We have a varied and exciting activities programme, with the emphasis on taking our residents out into the community where possible. However, it is the loving person-centred care we provide to each and every resident that makes our facility truly special.
